PARTY TIME

”After spending the past 4 ½ years attempting to drive around the world, the finish line is
in sight and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than with you”

So that’s exactly what we are going to do - and you’re invited!

There are no words to tell you how excited we are to be able to share the details of this event you.

Not only excited because we will ALL have the chance to meet in person and have a boogie together, but also we will be celebrating as a community, the achievement of two hapless adventurers and their unlikely expedition vehicle TRUDY accomplishing an Around the World Expedition !!

But what makes this celebration even more special?

 Whilst we are celebrating, we will all be making a difference by fundraising to make Dekafok Marine and Turtle Conservation Project sustainable for another year at the same time!! 

We are grateful to everyone for their support to us AND Dekafok and we invite you to consider joining us on the 27th September 2024 to celebrate in style.

ALL profits from this event will go to Dekafok – Marine and Sea Turtle Conservation project.

LOCATION

The Event will be taking place during the afternoon and evening of the 27th September 2024,  in a hotel in the Telford and Shrewsbury area of the UK.  The exact location will be sent out with the booking confirmation email.

PROGRAM OF EVENTS
Friday 27th September 2024
ORDER OF EVENT 

16:30 – 18:30   Chris and Marianne will be on the door to greet you, with Trudy  (public hotel bar will be open)  

17.30 – 19:00   Pre Dinner drinks,  Mingle at the bar – (Private Cash Bar opens at 17:30)

18:30 – 19:00   Take your seat

19:00 – 19:30   Welcome talk by Chris & Marianne

19:30 – 21:00   Dinner is served – during dinner there will be some activities!!

21:00 – 22:00   Q&A with Chris, Marianne and guests.

22:00 – 01:00   Dance the night away

Saturday 28th September 2024

07:00 – 10:00   Buffet Breakfast for those staying overnight.

DRESS CODE

As smart as you like, or Dress to impress!!  After much discussion we would rather you spent your money on the ticket, or at the event than on hiring a dinner jacket !!  But be warned … Marianne is dressing up – after 6+ years of living in a van … she has earned it !! 

COST

Dinner and Dance Ticket:       £75 per person

Hotel room rate:                      * £125 B&B (Single)

                                                   * £138 B&B (Double) 

* Hotel Room reservations are to be booked directly with the Hotel, venue details will be released after the ticket purchase is completed.

MENU

Please keep in mind that this is a charity event so we only have two menu choices – if you have any food allergies, we would ask you to let the hotel know directly, the contact details for the hotel will be released after you have purchased your event tickets.  Any concerns please do message: marianne@treadtheglobe.com

GENERAL INFO

We know that some of you may wish to come to the event in your van or moho.  Please be advised that the venue has parking, but you will NOT be allowed to overnight camp in your home on wheels. Please can we ask that you respect this rule.

If you are driving to the event in your home on wheels but would like to sleep at the hotel, reception will give you a slip for you to put in your windscreen to show that you have booked a room and are staying in the hotel as a guest.  Alternatively there are some campsites in the local area, and these will be provided along with all the other information and details in your booking confirmation email.

Due to the size of the venue, there are limited tickets available for this event.
